Hall of Fame
The foundation for the now storied brand of Green Bay Women's Basketball began in 1974 under the program's first head coach and Green Bay Phoenix Hall of Fame member Carol Hammerle. Coach Hammerle won 456 games during her 25 seasons coaching throughout the ranks of NAIA and NCAA, collecting the team's first ever NCAA appearance in the 93-94 season. She boasted twelve 20-win seasons and put the program on a trajectory for success. In addition, she is credited with starting the strong ties of community support through her efforts to build relationships and connections in the greater Green Bay area.
