University of Wisconsin Green Bay Athletics

Dr. Donald F. Harden served on the UW-Green Bay faculty and administration from 1970-1994 including serving as Athletic Director from 1982-1985.  Among his many achievements at the University, he is credited with leading the move from Division II to Division I, creating the Phoenix Fund and playing a key role in the development of the Mid-Continent Conference. Harden was inducted as a charter member of the Green Bay Phoenix Hall of Fame in 1993.
