Greg Santaga played men's soccer for Green Bay from 1980-1984, leading the Phoenix during the critical transition from Division II to Division I. Santaga holds the Division I school records for single-season scoring (20) and single-season assists (15) and is the program's top five in career goals (37). In addition to his individual success, he led the Phoenix to their first NCAA Division I tournament appearance in 1983. Beyond the game, Santaga led efforts to provide continued investment to the program with addition of lights to the former playing field and support for the new Aldo Santaga Stadium. He was inducted into the Green Bay Phoenix Hall of Fame in 1998.
