Julie was an outstanding guard/forward for the UWGB women's basketball team during the 2009 thru 2012 period. She was a redshirt during the 2008 season. She was a very physically strong presence with extreme knowledge of the game. Besides being a prolific scorer, Julie was extremely talented as a defender. Off the court, she was completely and genuinely humble and non-assuming with a nose for the books. Julie was top 6 in career points, scoring average, field goals made, free throws made, rebounds, assists and steals and holds the D-1 era dbl/dbl record at 35. For single season records, Julie was 1st or 2nd in points, scoring average, field goals made, rebounds, and 1st in steals. Her awards collection is worthy of a room of its own. Julie garnered the Horizon League Cecil N. Coleman Medal of Honor; Chancellor's Leadership Medallion; CoSIDA academic all-Dist 5; Horizon League MVP; Horizon All-League 2nd {2010 and 2011), 1st, (2012) Horizon League all defensive team and player of the year. Also, Wade Finalist 2011; Naismith Watch-list 2011; and John Wooden All-American, 2012; AP All-American 2nd team 2012 and Academic All-American 2012. Julie was drafted in the 2nd round of the WNBA draft by the Minnesota Lynx after her senior
year.
