Hall of Fame
Paul Schierl was among the first community leaders to advocate for what was a fledging athletic program during the 1970s. He provided philanthropic support for multiple sports, most memorably purchasing a bus for the department for team travel. He is also credited with garnering support for soccer and providing funds to purchase lights for the soccer field. He was a critical leader for the development of the Phoenix Fund and provided a stable voice of community support up until his passing in 2017. Schierl was inducted to the Green Bay Phoenix Hall of Fame in 1996.
